In processes, evaporation is the operation of concentrating a process solution by raising the solvent in the solution to its boiling point under a specified pressure and evaporating it.
Evaporation plants are needed in the following cases:
- when water or any other solvent has to be removed,
- when the concentration has to be increased or the volume reduced,
- when valuable and pure crystals have to be formed,
- when by-products or impurities have to be stripped off or precipitated,
In all of these cases an evaporation plant is required.
In general, in the evaporation process the liquid to be evaporated is raised to its boiling point by means of a heat exchanger, and evaporation takes place from the evaporation surface formed on the separator.
To meet the different specifications and requirements of our customers, such as density, purity, particle size and operating time, MAKFEN examines different evaporator types, plant layouts and heating options and offers the most suitable solution.
Evaporation plants are available in the following types:
- Natural circulation evaporator
- Vertical film evaporator
- Forced circulation evaporator
- Plate evaporator
- Multiple-effect evaporators
Evaporation plants can serve a wide variety of industrial processes.
- Inorganic chemicals and salt plants
- Fertilizer plants
- Organic chemicals
- Industrial wastewater plants
- Organic and inorganic waste plants
- Food and dairy plants
- Starch and protein product plants
- Meat and bone extract plants
- Fruit juice concentrate and malt extract plants
- Fermentation products
