Urea-formaldehyde resin plant
Urea-formaldehyde resin is the common name for the polymers obtained by heating urea with formaldehyde in the presence of weak bases such as ammonia or pyridine. The first, water-soluble condensation products are used to make adhesives and coating materials, as well as moulding powders that harden when they are mixed with cellulose fibre, pigments and other substances and pressed in a mould.
